Mary Madolin Huston was born in Saline County, Missouri, near the town of Arrow Rock Missouri. The area of Missouri she was from was populated by many Virginians.
She seems to have been named after her maternal grandmother Mary Madolin (the Biblical Mary Magdalene?) Witcher Stephens (1831 Saline Co, Missouri-1905 same). Her mother Ann Amanda Stephens (1860-21 April 1888) died before her daughter was 4 years old. She died 3 months after giving birth to Mary Madolin's brother Stephen Huston (1/1888-1942). The Stephens were mostly Virginians.
Nothing much is known about her father Erasmus Darwin Huston (1854-1900). Mary Madolin had an older sister Georgia (1883-1935).
Family history reports Mary Madolin was employed at the 1904 St. Luis World's Fair, where she gave sample of jello & met future husband Alvin Earl Wright of Kansas City. They married 1905 @ the St. Louis Methodist Church. ad 2 children in Texas, then moved to Chicago by 1911.
1957 they moved near their daughter in Empire, Leelanau County, Michigan, where she passed away August 23, 1965.
