Reddeck was born about 1810. He passed away about 1885. In 1877, formerly enslaved Reddeck and wife Eliza purchased 43 acres from Clinton Williams. Living with them at the time of the 1880 Census were Frances Wilder (7), niece, Eugen Boon (19) nephew, and John Boon (8), nephew. DeWitt Clinton Williams (1828-abt.1888)

He is also identified as Reddick Hutchings, see Historic Oak View Farm, Wake County NC
