In the 1860 census W (age 57), Planter, was in Clinton, Greene, Alabama with his wife and one son.[5]
William died (age 59) on May 12, 1862, in Greene, Alabama, United States. (see research notes) [6] He was buried in the Clinton cemetery, in Greene county.[7]
