David Lee Innis, Sr. was born on 12 Aug 1930 in Virden, Macoupin County, Illinois to parents Robert Innis and Pauline Hopper. He had a brother Robert Innis and a sister Pauline Innis (later Wilson).[1]
David served in the Korean War as an ammo corporal on a 155 Howitzer gun crew.[1]
He married Marion Green on 29 Jun 1951 in Thayer, Illinois. They had a son, David Lee Innis, Jr.[1]
David passed away on Tuesday, 8 Nov 2016 at age 86 at Mosaic of Springfield, Illinois.[1]
He was buried with military honors in section Z-225 at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.[2]
