Quough Iredell was born about 1831. He lived at Somerset Plantation in Washington Co, NC. Quough (probably an African name) was a slave of Josiah Collins II. When Josiah Collins II died Quough was placed on his probate inventory.[1]
Through the estate division Quough Iredell went to Collins daughter, Louisa Collins, who married Thomas A. Harrison in Chowan Co, NC. After the marriage in 1842 they took their slaves and moved to Marengo Co, AL.[2][3]
Quough is listed on an 1846 Faunsdale plantation slave list. He is listed as age 15.[4]
Quough was either sold or died before 1857 as he is not listed on any further Faunsdale Plantation slave lists.
