Biography
Elisha was the son of William P. and Sarah Ann (Lainhart) Isaacs. He was the brother of Selena C., Allie D., Annie (or Nancy) M. M., Rosetta, Jerry T., Lizzie A., Effie J. Elisha's father was a farmer in Jackson County, Kentucky. As a young man, Elisha worked on the family farm. His first wife was Debbie Jane Lakes, who died in 1920. He married Lucy B. Baker on Sept. 16, 1920. They farmed in Jackson County, Indiana.
