Biography
Mrs. Evelyne Rebecca Beck, 45, wife of Rev. Allen Jack Beck, pastor of Bedford Road Baptist Church, died Saturday, July 27, 1968, at Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. A native of Foxburg, PA, she was a daughter of Robert E. and Mildred (Irwin) Isom, city.
Besides, her husband and parents, she is survived by two sons, John Nathan Beck and Allen Joseph Beck, at home; seven daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Suzanne) Getz, city, and Kathie Beck, Joan Beck, Christine Beck, Miriam Beck, Ruthie Beck, and Sara Beck, all at home. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Lenore) Farrell, Huntsville, AL; Mrs. John (Grace) Miller, Cleveland, TN; and Mrs. Paul (Jean) Simpson, Sykesville; a brother, Arthur E. Isom, city, and one grandson, Mark Thomas Getz, city.
Mrs. Beck was a 1941 graduate of Fort Hill High School. She taught the Helping Hands Bible Class and was vice president of the Women’s Missionary Society.
