Henry George Ivison was born on 31st December 1923 in Parkes, New South Wales, Australia. He was the third son of Thomas Ivison and Kathleen Wallace.

On 28th October 1942, Henry enlisted in the Second Australian Imperial Force for military service during the Second World War. His final posting was to the 5th Australian Light Wireless Section, before being discharged on 29th May 1946. [1]
After returning from the war, Henry married June Murphy in 1947, in North Sydney, New South Wales. [2]
Aged 71 years, he passed away in 1995. [3]
