Biography

1617: Matthias Jacke, male, baptised 24 February 1617, St Just parish Register, St Just in Roseland, Cornwall. Father Thomas Jacke.^[1]

Matthias Jacke signed the Protestation Return in March 1641, while residing in St Just in Roseland, making an oath of allegiance to King Charles I and the Church of England (note signing was a necessity in order to hold public office).^[2]

Matthias married Anne the daughter of Richard Gardiner, Gent, on 21 July 1646, with consent of parents, in the parish of Gerran, Cornwall.^[3]

Matthias died in March of 1679 and was buried on the 6 March 1679, St Just in Roseland, Cornwall.^[4]
