Biography

This Charles Jackson is believed to be the same one who described himself as the Australian "Blondin" (not to be confused with Henry L'Estrange) who made a minor ripple in the late 1880s in the Kiama/Wollongong Districts of New South Wales for his death defying feats of walking the tightrope and parachuting from a hot air balloon. If anyone has any further information which can confirm or dispel this story please update the information here.

There must be some truth to the story as in the Birth Notice of his daughter in 1889 we see:

BIRTH.
JACKSON.—The wife of Charles Jackson (Blondin) of a daughter.
