Biography

The family was about to leave to go visit family and Mildred forgot her doll and she ran back to get it and she was barefooted and stepped on a rusty nail and got blood poison. after trying to treat her at home the family realized she needed medical attention. They took her in a wagon to the railroad and laid her on a pumper car and rushed her to the hospital in Selma Alabama where she died at 5 years of age.
