James and Jane Dwyer Waugh's marriage was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1847 in the St James Westminster district.[1]
James and his family arrived in Lyttelton New Zealand in 1863 aboard the ship Sebastopol [2].
For 30 years he ran a prominent grocery shop and then went on to work in the council and then as Mayor [3].
His oldest son James Samuel Jameson, married on the 12th of April 1883 in Christchurch, New Zealand[4]
James resigned from the Christchurch City Council in 1872 [5].
He passed away at home in Linwood, Christrchurch in 1896 [6][3].
