Biography

Allen was born in 1835. He was the son of Judson Jaqua and Lucinda Braffett.

According to the 1880 Census, Allen Jaqua was 44 years old living with his wife Lucy A., age 35, and daughters Clara B. Jaqua (14) and Ida (12) in Union City, Indiana. There he worked as a hardware merchant.

Allen Jaqua was 59 years old, married with two daughters when he passed away on 18 Jul 1895 in the District of Columbia, where he served as a Assistant Chief in the Pension Office.
