We find Joseph in the Census Record of 1841 living with his two daughters Mary Ann and Matilda (Jarmain) at Arthur Street, in Chelsea, situated south-west of the City of Westminster, on the north bank of the River Thames, near the City of London, in England. They also reside with Shoemaker, Edward (Oldall); Edward's wife, Mary; their children Edward, Benjamin, James and Thomas (Oldall) and John and Ann (Arnold)[4].
Occupation
With the birth of his daughter, Mary Ann (Jarmain) in 1827, Joseph's occupation is recorded as being an Upholsterer. However, by the Census of 1841, he records his employment as being an Appraiser.
Death/Burial
Joseph (Jarmain) passes away around the 25 August 1848 at 1 Blizzard Place, Fulham Road, Chelsea, situated south-west of the City of Westminster, on the north bank of the River Thames, near the City of London, in England. He was around 47 years old at the time and the cause of death will be on his Certificate[5]. He is buried on the 29 August 1848 at the Brompton Cemetery (aka West London Cemetery, Westminster Cemetery), Earls Court (now Fulham Road), Old Brompton, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Greater London, Middlesex, England[6].
