Biography
Johanna Jefts/Jeiffs/Jeffs was born 14 May, 1656. She married (1) John Dunkin on February 23, 1674, and they had seven children. John Dunkin died of small pox on December 19, 1690. She soon married (2) Benjamin Dutton. On 1 August, 1692, Johanna and two of her children – the eldest, Mary, age 16, and the youngest, Benoni, a year or two – "were all slaine by the Indians."
