Arke Jenks was born in 1768 at Ellington, Connecticut to John Jenks and Lydia Bucklin. He married Persis (last name unknown) and had issue:

In 1803 he built an linseed oil mill in Paris, Oneida County, New York, which ceased operation as flax crops fell out of favor. The mill burned down in 1840.[1]
In 1810, 1815, and 1820 Arke resided in Oneida County, New York. [2][3][4] In 1830 and 1840 Arke resided in Crawford County, Pennsylvania.[5][6]
Arke died on 3 July 1847 in Crawford County, Pennsylvania.
