Ephraim Jennings was born on 28 April 1810 in Wayne County, Pennsylvania, United States, son of Jonathan Jennings (1764–1831) and Rachel Schoonover (1774–1829).[1]
He never married, but lived with his brother, Henry and his family. Ephraim and Henry were also in the lumber business together. A local history says that "[h]e was known as “Uncle Ephraim” in all the country around, and his genial disposition made him a welcome visitor to any neighboring fireside.”[1]
Ephraim died on 10 April 1882 in Wayne County, aged 71.[2]
