Biography

Johann "Jan" Jesse was born ca 1853 in {Kempina}?, district of Radom, Poland to Michael Jesse and his wife Rosina, née Cepik.

Marriage: He married 15 Nov 1876 in Pawłowa, near Bełchatów Paulina Lusch. ^[1]

The family seems to have moved later on further south east, where new territories were opend up for colonization. It is not clear if they first made a stop in Radom, since some children later claimed to be born there, or if they moved straigth away to Cyców halfway between Lublin and Chełm, were they are appearing in the books as soon as 1884.

2. Adolf Jesse; born 1879 in Radom; emigrated 1905 to America.
3. Rudolph Jesse; born 1881 in Radom; emigrated 1903 to America.
4. Maria Jesse; born 1884 in Cyców; twin died young 1885 in Cyców.
5. Justina Jesse; born 1884 in Cyców; twin.
6. Emma Jesse; born 1886 in Cyców.
7. Lidia Jesse; born 1888 in Cyców.
8. Robert Jesse; born 1890 in Cyców.
9. Gustav Jesse; born 1892 in Cyców.
10. Martha Jesse; born 1895 in Stręczyn.

Death: He died only 44 years old 25 Aug (Julian calendar) / 6 Sep (Gregorian calendar) 1897 in Stręczyn, parish of Cyców. ^[2]
