JIMMO, Alvin Michael W.W. II Veteran Royal Canadian Legion Branch #632, Orleans September 27, 1918 - August 19, 2006 Peacefully, at Elisabeth Bruyere Palliative Care Centre on Saturday, August 19, 2006, with his loyal and loving wife and his family at his side. Predeceased by his son Joey. Al served in W.W. II from 1941 - 1945, 1st division - Italy, Holland & Germany. Al will be greatly missed by his family including his dog Lucille and those whom he touched. Al's love of life was and is so evident, in the way he nourished his garden and enriched his family, friends, and neighbours with his kindness and generosity. He was and is indeed a tough, strong and kind soldier. Special thanks to the Montfort Hospital, Medicine Unit 5 East for their care and compassion. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 2370 St. Joseph Blvd., Orleans, Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Thursday to Divine Infant Church, 6658 Bilberry Dr., Orleans, for Mass of Christian Funeral at 1 p.m. Interment Notre-Dame Cemetery. Flowers or in memoriam donations to the Elisabeth Bruyere Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.
