Age 83, of Erie, son of the late Sherman and Edith Lysaght Jobes.

Robert worked for Gerber Baby Food, retiring in 1981 after 37 years. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and served as president of its Usher's Society for two terms. He was also a member of East Erie Turners and the Zukor Club. He enjoyed gardening and golf.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and John Jobes; and two sisters, Eleanor Dibble and Catherine Kuhn.

Survivors include his wife, Florence Malmberg Jobes; two daughters, Mary Margaret Snyder of Coraopolis and Judith Jobes of Erie; a son, Robert C. Jobes Jr. and his wife, Connie, of Evansville, Ind.; a brother, Frank Jobes; three sisters, Mary Maloney, Jane Dugan and Alice Schultz, all of Erie; and four grandchildren.

Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
