Biography

Erich Thulingberg was a book keeper at Skärviken's foundry in the 1720s and 1730s.[1][2]

Bokhållaren Eric Thulijnberg at Skärviken married Jungfru Margareta Jernbeck 7 October 1718[3] Margareta died after giving birth to their first daughter, and 21 March 1721 Erich Tulindberg married Jungfru Anna Sophia Spaak.[4]

We know his parents because it is mentioned in his mother's obituary that she lived in the household of her son as a widow: Anna Eriksdotter died 16 February 1736, at an age of 82 years.[5] She was married to Johan Johansson from Nörtulinge in Hed 5 October 1684.[6] So Erik must be the son, Eric, born to Johan in Nortulinge 19 September 1689[7] (In his obit the birth year is given as 1690).

So he was born Erik Johansson, with a patronymic name, and adopted the surname Tulingberg (after his birthplace) when he became an educated man. Later his last name transformed into Tulindberg. He became an innkeeper in Skinnskatteberg Village[8], where he died 27 January 1741 at an age of 51 years.[9]
