Obituary for Hamp J, Johns
Hamp J. Johns, 72, of Plant City, died Monday. A Native of Hillsborough County, he was a lifelong resident of the Tampa Bay area. He was a barber for 54 years and a member of Cross Baptist Church of Tampa. He was a mason.
He is survived by one daughter, Sylvia Stevens of Plant City; three sons, Rodney of Woodland Park, Colo., Hal of Aurora, Colo. and Brent of Plant City; four sisters, Essie Mae Browning, Juanita Pullara and Charline Simmons, all of Tampa, and Macie Ellis of Fort Meade; 10 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Garden of Memories Funeral Home.
