Rebecca Pugh Johnson was probably born about 1825 in the Bahama Islands to Samuel Johnson and his first wife, Mary Curry Johnson.
She married Paul Samuel Lightbourn in the summer of 1844 in Nassau. The couple had two children, Charles and Rebecca Mary Lightbourn.
In 1845, Rebecca's father deeded land to his oldest daughters: "Samuel JOHNSON, for love and affection for his daughters, Mary Elizabeth Wilson (JOHNSON) CURRY, wife of Joseph William CURRY, and Rebecca (JOHNSON) LIGHTBOURN, wife of Paul LIGHTBOURN, conveyed to those daughters 2/3 of a tract of land on the Island of Eleuthera, on Craskil (sic) Hill, and a lot ...."
Rebecca Johnson Lightbourn passed away sometime after June 1847 and before Paul Samuel Lightbourn married Adeline Saunders in the summer of 1848.
