OBITUARY: John C. Johnson Services Held Here Wednesday - Funeral Services were held here on Wednesday, November 13th, for John C. Johnson who passed away at Seaside Hospital on November 9, 1957. Services were from Wier's Mortuary Chapel with Crescent City Lodge No. 45, F. & A. M. in charge of the services. The deceased was a native of Crescent City, having been born here on March 26, 1903. He had been a locomotive engineer for 34 years, for Southern Pacific Co., making his home at San Luis Obispo, Calif., where he was a member of the King David Masonic Lodge, No. 209, and a member of Temple of Al Malaekah of Los Angeles. Illness and death overtook Mr. Johnson while he was here visiting his mother, Mrs. Laura Johnson, who had been confined to Seaside Hospital with illness only a short time previous. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Johnson, of San Luis Obispo; his mother, Mrs. Laura Johnson, of Crescent City; a sister, Mrs. Kathryn Johnson of Ridgecrest, Calif; two aunts, Mrs. Myrtle Trefern of Portland, Oreogn; and Mrs. Kathryn Dowdall of San Francisco; niece, Mrs. Shirley Antrim of Napa, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Archie Johnson of Napa, Calif.; and two uncles, Jacob Houck of Ashland, Oregon and George Houck of Klamath Falls, Oregon. Concluding services and intement were in the Masonic cemetery here with Allen F. Lehman, Bob and Dick Wakefield, Clayton McNamara, Garth McNmara and Thomas McNamara as pall bearers.
