• Emily Johnson (Johnstone) was born 30 Oct 1784, the daughter of William Johnson (Johnston) and Mary Peck of Cornwallis Township, in Kings County Nova Scotia^[2]
• On April 6, 1804, she married Daniel Bigelow, the son of Amasa and Roxane Cone Bigelow of Cornwallis,^[1], and they had children^{[3] [4] [5] [6]}, including:

1. Mary Ann, b 10 Feb 1805 Horton; d 2 Mar 1897 Sparta, Monroe, WI; m 20 Jan 1825 Ward Atwater. 9 children.
2. William Johnston, b 23 Oct 1806 Horton; d 13 Sep 1875 Canso, Guysborough, NS; m (1)1834 Sarah M. Whitman; (2) Mathilda Publicover. 7 children.
