Biography

Mamie was born on September 19,1890 in Claremore, Rogers County, Oklahoma and a daughter of George Horace Johnston and Dora M. Moore. In 1902, she was approved and granted papers into the Cherokee Tribe in the State Of Oklahoma at the age of twelve. Mamie married James Bryon Green on June 5,1905 in Oklahoma when she was fifteen. After James's death, Mamie married William Robert Beathe on January 20,1913 in Rogers County, Oklahoma. She passed away on February 1,1978 in Broken Arrow, Tulsa County, Oklahoma and buried in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore, Rogers County, Oklahoma. ^[1]
