Biography
William Mitchell Jolly was born on June 27, 1842 in Montrose, Angus, Scotland, United Kingdom, son of James Jolly (~1810–<1869).
In 1872, William Jolly, a soldier with the The Royal Engineers, married Maria Pymer in the Kensington district. [1] Together they had the following children:
- William Pymer Douglas Jolly (1872-1963
- Alexander Tendall Jolly (1876-1954)
- Elizabeth Rose Jolly (1879-1914)
- Bruce Jolly (1883-1967)
William died on August 9, 1889 in Bethnal Green, Middlesex, England, United Kingdom, aged 47.
William's death (age 46) was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1889 in the Bethnal Green district.[2]
