Paul Daigneault
Gulien sometimes spelled "Julian" on some documents returned to France just before the outbreak of WWI and because he was still a French citizen was drafted into the French military. When the war was over he decided to stay in France and not return to the U.S.A. Because of this his wife Germaine living in the United States divorced him and some years later married Alois Paul Cannie.

Much later when Paul Cannie, as he called himself, died in the 1950's Germaine again married to her final husband Albert Desmulier. Germaine survived all her spouses and lived to be 92. She only had one child, Gladys Jonckheere Daigneault with her first husband Gulien Jonckheere.
