Eugene Kinckle Jones was a leader of the National Urban League and one of the seven founders (commonly referred to as Seven Jewels) of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity at Cornell University in 1906.
Eugene was born in 1885 in Richmond, VIrginia and was the son of Joseph and Rosa Kinckle Jones. [1]
He married Blanche Watson in 1909.[2]

He served as Executive Director (President) of the National Urban League from 1918 to 1940.
He died in 1954 and was interred at Flushing Cemetery.[3]
