Biography
Roseanna (Jones) Jeffries is a part of US Black heritage.
Roseanna is the daughter of James and Mary Jones. She was one of 11 children. She gave birth to her son Charles "Bumpus" in 1870, apparently out of wedlock, because there is no mention of a marriage or a father.
Roseanna married James Jeffries on April 22, 1874.[1]
The marriage of Roseanna and James produced three more children:

- Charles
- Nettie, 07 Nov 1873; m. Leroy Knox; d. 08 Sep 1939 in Dayton, Ohio
