Biography
Mary was born in 1841 in Neath, Swansea, Glamorganshire, Wales. She was the daughter of Giles Jose and Louisa Cornish.[1]
In 1851, she was 10 years old and living with her maternal grandfather Samuel Cornish and his 2nd wife Mary in Bridgerule Village, Bridgerule West, Devon;[2]
