She passed away in 1972 at Freakness(sp?) Hospital, Wayne, and is buried at First Reformed Church, Pompton NJ. Children included Frank J. Smith (1922-1972) and Daisy Hannah Burkhardt (1921-1994). Her husband Fred had died in 1949.
