Biography

James was born 3 March 1872 at Aghaveagh, Coagh, County Tyrone. He was the son of Samuel Junk and Maria Talbot.

On 13 May 1897 at 2nd Moneymore Presbyterian, he married Maria Spritt, daughter of Thomas Spritt. Witnessed by H___ Junk and Sarah Spritt(?). He lived at Ballymaguire at this time. [1]

Research Notes

James was the death informant for Maria's father.

The birth registration is hard to read; and seems to incorrectly give 1873 as birth year (this is impossible as it is a book from 1872). His brother William's birth registration is in clearer handwriting.
