Betty Bradley Junkin Guest, age 84, of Hickory Creek passed away May 2, 2014. She was born May 6, 1929 to the late Eben Dixon Junkin and Lucy Mae Bradley Junkin. She received her BA in English and BS in Music from TSCW in 1951, her Master's in English from SMU in 1968, and her Ph.D. in Family Studies from TWU in 1987. She worked for the Highland Park ISD as an English teacher from 1965 to 1971, as the sophomore and senior counselor from 1971 to 1985, and as the Director of Guidance from 1985 to 1991. She served as a Trustee on the College Board from 1986 to 1990. In 2012, she published her memoir, Once Upon a Falling Star^[2] She is survived by her daughter, her son, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Betty B Guest married Edgar A Guest on 18 Aug 1951 and divorced 1 Sep 1978 in Bowie, Texas, USA. They had 2 children^[3]
