Leona Mae Kaufman, 92 of Wayland, died Friday evening, September 30, 2005 at the Parkview Home in Wayland.

Funeral Services have been set for 10:30 A.M. Monday, October 3, 2005 at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church near Wayland with Pastor Nathan Luitjens officiating. Burial will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery. Family visitation will be 9:00 A.M till service time Monday at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church. Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland is assisting with arrangements. Memorials may be designated to the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church.

Leona was born May 26, 1913 south of Wayland, Iowa the daughter of Joseph J. and Lydia (Boese) Kaufman.

Leona was a faithful member of Sugar Creek Mennonite Church and was involved with other activities at the church. She was born, raised and lived in the family home until she moved to Wayland.

Survivors include two nephews, Joe Kaufman and Dave (Liz) Kaufman, both of Ainsworth,IA nieces, Dee (Ed) Ossman of Ainsworth, IA and Susan Friederich (John) of Davenport, IA, twelve great nieces and nephews and five great-great-nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Clarence Kaufman
