Biography
Nathalie Kavaleff was born in Finland. She emigrated to the US about 1890 (based on census records). She married the Swedish artist Gustaf Mankell (great uncle of the writer Henning Mankell) some time around 1891. The couple lived in Buffalo, NY. She was widowed in 1936 and survived her husband by 20 years. She passed away in Ft Lauderdale and is buried next to her husband in Oakwood cemetery, East Aurora.
