N.B. I have added a guesstimate of her birth date (1770), which I have based on her husband's birth date of 1765 and her daughter's date of birth of 1817. If you have information and a source of her actual date of birth, please enter that information here and notify me. Thank you. (Patricia Prickett Hickin, 1 Sep 2018.)

"Genealogy Information
"In West Virginia Quilts and Quiltmakers: Echoes from the Hills (2000) by Fawn Valentine, a blue and white Single Irish Chain quilt is shown and discussed. The authentication process states the quilt was brought from Ireland to West Virginia in 1807. It is a unique find in the history of quilts as very few quilts survived from this era. The quilt is attributed to Margaret Kee Boggs, my great-great grandmother.
"The information in the book does not completely align with my family historical information. The book claims Margaret and John came to the United States leaving Ireland in late 1806 and arriving in Philadelphia in January 1807. They then went to Pendleton County (then Virginia) and raised 7 children. In 1818 they purchased a farm on the North Fork of the South Branch of the Potomac River, near Seneca Rocks. They both are interred in the family cemetery there. The book information states Margaret was born in 1774 in County Clare and died in 1858. John was born in 1765 and died in 1847.
"The family Bible, from which the family genealogy information is derived, states they arrived in Baltimore, Maryland in January 1808. It also says Margaret was born in 1768 and died in 1852. John was born in 1769 and died in 1845. The rest of the family history aligns with the information in the book."
