Mary was born in 1894[1]. She was the daughter of James Keegan and Mary Elizabeth Nolan.
She was baptised on 22 August 1894 at St Phillip, Salford, Lancashire, England[2].

Her father died some time before 1911. Mary was aged 16 in 1911, living with her widowed mother Mary and four siblings Ann, Henry, Martha and John at 124 Burlington Street Liverpool, Liverpool, Lancashire.

She married Edward McIver on 22 August 1914 at Our Lady of Reconciliation de La Salette, Liverpool, Lancashire, England[3]. Edward was living at 28 Cockspur Street at the time; Mary was living of 124 Burlington Street. The witnesses were Catherine Blackburn and John McIver.
They went on to have 14 children.
In the 1939 England and Wales Register Mary (aged 45) was living with her husband Edward (aged 47) and their seven children at 15a Owen House, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.[4]

Sadly one of their sons, Edward was killed in the 2nd World War. Another son Joseph passed away in 1950 at the age of 22.
She passed away in 1957 at the age of 62 and was buried on 11 July 1957 at Ford Cemetery, Ford, Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, Merseyside, England[5]. Plot: AM 193
