Biography
John Keelan is a part of US Black heritage.
John Calvin Keelan was born in 1865. He was the son of William H. Keelan and Tennessee V. Sanderlin.
John C. Keelan and Mary L. Lewis married September 17, 1891; citing Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts.[1][2][3] In 1900 John was boarding at 3220 Wabash Avenue, Chicago.[4] They lived in Washington, D.C., briefly, and then in Wyoming, Hamilton County, Ohio. In 1910 they were back in Washington, D.C.[5]
John was a printer living at 1822 13th St.N.W., in the Cardozo neighborhood of Washington D.C., when he died March 7, 1918, in Manhattan, New York.[6] He was buried March 9, 1918, in St. Michael Cemetery.[7]
