Mary was born in 1812. She was the daughter of Levin Keene and Ann Linthicum. She passed away in 1876.

TUBMAN. on 31st March, at the residence of her son, near Westminster Md., MARY G. TUBMAN. widow of the late Dr. Robert F. Tubman, of Cambridge. Maryland. We desire not to let the occasion pass to pay to this lady the tribute so justly her due. of the universal respect and affection with which she was regarded in this community. The daughter of a long-settled and highly respected family in Dorchester county, (Mrs. Tubman was the sister of the Hon. B. G. Keene. who repeatedly represented the county in the Senate and House of Delegates of Maryland, and of Levin L. Keene, Esq.. formerly Register of Wills.) Early in life she married the late Dr. Robert F. Tubman, and became the mother of a large family. During the many years of their residence there, "Glasgow," their home, situated just out of Cambridge. on the Choptank river, was noted for its kind and genial hospitality. After the death of her husband, in 1863, Mrs. Tubman removed to Baltimore city and has since resided at the residence of one or other of her children, either in Virginia or Maryland. She was a devout member of the Roman Catholic Church, and was noted for her Christian graces of character as for her gentle and amiable disposition. While In the enjoyment of good health for one of her advanced years, she was suddenly stricken down by paralysis, at the residence of S. A. Tubman, Esq.. her son, and died in a few minutes from the time she was first attacked. Her remains, accompanied by several of her children, were brought over on the steamer Highland Light, on Sunday morning last and were interred at Glascow the residence of her son, Robert C. Tubman, on the same afternoon in the family burying ground. The Hon. Daniel M. Henry, and Messrs. E. W. Le Compte, Francis J. Henry, Caleb Shepherd. Thomas W. Anderson and John N. Steele, acted as pallbearers on the occasion. and the funeral of the lamented lady was very largely attended by her old friends and neighbors, who appreciated her worth and respected her memory.
