Some researchers have traced the Higginbotham line back to the Kings of England. Children of John Lawson Keeton and Margaret (Kelley) Keeton were: Julia, Robert, Finetti Jane, Mary, Albert, Horatio, and Margaret. John Lawson Keeton was a physician and a farmer. Margaret Levisa (Kelley) Keeton died February 14, 1856 and is buried in the Keeton Cemetery, Decatur County, Tennessee near John Lawson Keeton and other family members.
