Biography
MARGARET LEVISA (KELLEY) KEETON - Margaret Keeton was born June 18, 1827 in Tennessee. Her parents were Ephraim Kelley and Jane (Higginbotham) Kelley. Some researchers have traced the Higginbotham line back to the Kings of England. Children of John Lawson Keeton and Margaret (Kelley) Keeton were: Julia, Robert, Finetti Jane, Mary, Albert, Horatio, and Margaret. John Lawson Keeton was a physician and a farmer. Margaret Levisa (Kelley) Keeton died February 14, 1856 and is buried in the Keeton Cemetery, Decatur County, Tennessee near John Lawson Keeton and other family members.
