Biography

Judah Kelly was the daughter of William Kelley Sr (1758-1837) and Elizabeth (abt.1764-1850).[1]

Judah was born on 14 Nov 1793, in SC. Her father was documented in Rutherford, NC, in 1781-1782. He was in Greenville, SC, before 1790 and through 1820 (zoned Pendleton in 1820). In about 1824, most of the family moved to McMinn Co, TN. On 29 Apr 1843, Judah's birthdate was confirmed in the pension file of her father William Kelly. Judah died after 7 April 1853, again per William Kelly's pension record, which names surviving children at that time. The claim is via Elizabeth Kelly, the deceased widow of William Kelly. It states surviving children Samuel, Elizabeth, Judy, Dinah, William, Richard, Alsey, and John Kelly were entitled.[2][3]
