David Kellogg was born 26 Aug 1744 in Colchester, New London, Connecticut. His parents were Abner Kellogg and Lydia Otis. He married Elinor Williams about 1766 in Colchester. He was born 2 Mar 1746 in Lebanon, New London, Connecticut. His parents were Isaiah Williams and Jerusha Lucy Roberts.
David was a veteran of the Revolutionary War. He served in Captain David Miller's Company, Twelfth Regiment, under the command of Colonel Obadiah Hosford. This company was listed as marching to East Chester to join General Washington's Army. He also served in the Massachusetts Army, in Col. Brown's detachment of the Berkshire Militia. [1]
David and Elinor had eleven children.
Elinor died 10 May 1805 in Essex Center, Chittenden, Vermont. David died 10 Mar 1826 in the same location. They were both buried in the Essex Common Burial Ground.

He married, first at ---, date of marriage ---, to Elinor Williams, born March 12th, 1747, at Lebanon, Conn; died May 10th, 1805, at Essex, Vermont. She was a daughter of Isaiah Williams and Jerusha (--) Williams of Lebanon, Conn. He married, second, January 20th, 1807, at --, to Sarah Redington Tyler of Vergennes, Vermont, who died April 12th, 1844, aged 86.
Children, by first marriage: 11 (Kellogg), 4 sons and 7 daughters (including 1 daughter, Adosia, who was adopted).
