Oliver Leslie Kelly was born on 22 November 1897 in Stilesville, Moncton, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada, son of Oliver Leslie Kelly (1858–1951).^[1]

Leslie (20) married Ina Matilda Hicks (20) (born on 24 May 1898 in Berry Mills, Moncton; daughter of Heber J. Hicks and Lila (Blakney) Hicks) on 26 June 1918 in Westmorland.^[2] Their children were:

1. Richard Cartwright Kelly (1919–2006)
2. Julia Alice Kelly (1921 - )
3. Viola Kathaleen Kelly (1922 - living)
4. Leta Vada Kelly (1924–1988)
5. Ruth Marion Kelly (1930–2021)
