Cornelia Kelsey was born in about 1799. She married Joseph Merrick 11 Jul 1819 in Portage, Wood, Ohio.^{[1] [2][3]}

1850 census records show that she was living with her son, Walter, daughter-in-law, Harriet and one grandson. The residence was in New Haven, New Haven, Connecticut.^[4]

She was living with her daughter, Lovisa, son-in-law, George and 6 grandchildren in Camden, Oneida, New York in 1865.^[5]

Cornelia passed away 21 Jul 1889 in New Haven, New Haven, Connecticut. She was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Sec: Path B, Plot: 31, Grave: 4. New Haven, New Haven, Connecticut^[6][7][8][9]
