This John is not the same as Kempe-181 for reasons explained in the various articles about this family. Genealogists such as Hitchin-Kemp, Walter Rye, and Muskett, accept that he is probably closely related to his contemporary Kemp-369, who is in turn related to Kempe-181, though several generations apart.
