Biography
Joseph was a Friend (Quaker)
Joseph was born on 14 Nov 1791 in New Bedford, Bristol, Massachusetts.[1] He was the son of David Kempton and Elizabeth (Gifford) Kempton.[1]
He married Susan Gifford, daughter of Jonathan and Sarah Gifford of Westport, on 3d 11m 1836.[2]
He died on 22 May 1872 in Dartmouth, Bristol, Massachusetts.[3] He was buried in Friends Burying Ground in New Bedford.[4]
