Donald was born in 1898 and his birth registered in early 1899. ^[1]

In the 1901 census Donald (age 2) was living with parents Arthur and Florence in Brigham, Cumberland, England.^[2]

Donald's marriage to Winifred J V Moore was registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1928 in the Ulverston district.^[3] A local newspaper reported that "Considerable interest was taken in the marriage at Flookburgh Parish Church on Tuesday of Mr. Donald Kennard, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kennard, Windyridge, Wigton, to Miss Winifred Josephine Venn Moore, younger daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. Moore, formerly of Colt Park, Silloth. ... The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C P. Moore, Vicar of the parish (brother of the bride)". ^[4]

In the 1939 register Donald was the married head of household in Crosby, Lancashire, England.^[5]

According to legal records Donald owned Jingling End, Jingling Lane, Kirkby Londale between 1957 and 1982. ^[6]
