Biography

from her findagrave.com entry obituary: Faye Craig entered this world on May 7th, 1926. She was born in Charlotte, N.C., to Fred and Thelma Kennedy. She was the second of five children; Doris Campbell, Fred Kennedy Jr., Mary Lee Whitaker and Tommy Kennedy. She was raised in the Charlotte area and attended Harding High School where she later met and married Jesse Hunter Craig. Faye and Jesse raised 4 children, Richard Craig, John Craig, Karen Craig Chapman, and Susan Craig Collins. Faye was a spiritual leader to her family and taught her family the bible while setting a moral example for all to follow. She was a long time member of Upper Room Fellowship Church where she encountered several friends through the church that she enjoyed lasting relationships with. Her Lord called her home the morning of Wednesday January 14th after a brief stay at Hospice. She is preceded in death by her husband Jesse and son Rick. She is survived by her son John Edward Craig, daughters Karen Lynn Chapman (Colin Chapman) and Susan Renee Collins (Billy Collins) and granddaughter Katerina Lynn Chapman. Faye is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews and will be remember as someone who put other’s needs first before herself, who was forgiving and knew that the most important thing in life was a personal walk with Christ. A graveside service will be held in her honor Saturday, January 17th at 3:00pm at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
