Biography

Walter was born in 1914 in Sydney. He is the son of Walter Kerr, boot finisher, and Elizabeth Mary Watson. ^[1]

On 30 August 1947 at St. Andrew's Church, Christchurch, he married Eveline Muriel Salter (31), daughter of Charles Eli James Salter and Elizabeth Salter later Griffin, nee Danielson. They both lived at Motueka at this time. ^[2]

He and Muriel both passed away 8 March 1985 near Marble Point Quarry, Culverden. They are buried at Motueka Cemetery. ^{[3] [4]}
